Embryo Banking / Fertility Preservation CCRM 2014 Expand / Collapse

Hi everyone,

I am 38 and my husband and I have been ttc for 2 years. We had a few chemical pregnancies to begin with and 3 failed IUIs. Even though all of our testing came back "normal" we weren't able to get pregnant and decided to move to IVF this past September. Out of the 10 eggs they retrieved, 9 fertilized and 4 made it to day 5. We had CCS done and only 1 was chromosomally normal however was not of a good quality. Needless to say we did do the transfer with the 1 but it didn't work. My eggs are just older and of lesser quality then they should be. CCRM is now offering Fertility Preservation / Family Planning which is essentially embryo banking. In order to increase our chances of having a chromosomally normal AND viable egg, we are doing 3 rounds of stimming, freezing and then CCS testing all of the embryos we retrieved at once. We are starting down this long road this month and wont be done and ready for transfer until next January. Is anyone else out there doing this or considering?
