No luck for us this month with IUI... My cycle came way early, early enough where I didnt even have a chance to test for P. I will try IUI again next month although I'm not sure If I will do it through intercourse this time around or go with the same process from last time. Keep me posted on you.

Sorry to hear about the news. I know how stressful it can get, especially when you go into something new and come out with more than you bargained for. I dont blame you for wanting to save the money... I dont know of any insurance that covers any of these costs. If I were in your shoes I would save up for the IVF, especially if that's where you'll end up the following month if Clomid doesnt work. Would IUI be an option for you? I'm trying it for the first time this Saturday. Nervous and Anxious. Good luck making your decision. If you go with Clomid I hope it works! I'll keep you in my prayers.

well she wanted me to take the 100mg clomid for 5 days, than follow with 3 days of Follistim 125iu. than have an ultrasound on day 10 and than take a HCG injection. i Had the dye/radiograph today to check if my tubes were blocked. both were clear, but one was enlarged. she said that can make it difficult to get pregnant. she compared it to diverticulitis, that eggs can get trapped in there almost like polyps. she said 30% usually end up going IVF eventually. She said if things look good at my next ultrasound she wants me to go ahead with the Follistim, but now im questioning if i should just save the money on all those meds and just save up for IVF since my insurance does not cover any infertility!!

Hi *Hope*. I went through the same thing. Two months ago they also found a cist which was caused by the Clomid. I was lucky enough to have the cist disappear on its own. I still waited a month before looking at other options tho. I told my dr I wanted to move forward with a stronger medicatin, so she put me on Follistim. It is very weird how we are given different doses. I inject 75 IU's which is not a lot compared to other blogs I've read. How much are you going to be taking? My dr also suggested taking clomid with the Follistim but the route I took is a more aggressive way than what you're doing. I've been trying to get pregnant for over six years, going to be 32 next month so at this point Im ready to take medication that offers higher result %. It's a more expensive treatment which I won't be able to afford for very long but I'm praying it will work.

i was about to start the medication, but my most recent ultrasound found a cyst from the clomid so its setting me back. they put me back on a birth control pill to help disolve the cyst. but my dr was going to have me on the clomid for five days, follistum for 3 than a trigger shot on day 10. is that the th O medication was that you mentioned?? i wonder why they start us off at completely different dosages ?!?!?!?

After trying Clomid for a couple of months I have now decided to move forward with a more aggressive medication. My doctor has me on Follistim for six days. Today is day five and I'm schedule on day seven for an ultrasound. At that point they will tell me when to take Ovidrel to help me ovulate. Have any of you gone through this process? If so, what was your experience like? I felt very ill (headache, weak, tired, painful nipples, nauseated, etc.) the first couple of days after taking Follistim but now doing better... I'm excited and nervous at the same time. (To all of you reading this post...Good Luck and may you soon be Blessed with a little one!)
