I haven't posted in awhile. My IUI did not work last month. The doctor wants us to take a month off. So we will try another IUI in August. I am keeping my fingers crossed that maybe it will work next time.

I have just started fertility meds and tomorrow i start my shots. i have read some of the posts and can't believe so many women have gone through this over and over. I started going to a fertility doctor in January. Everytime i left after an appointment i just sat in my car and cried. Finally everything looked well enough to start the drugs. We should have our first IUI this month. It has been so disapointing i cant emagine going through several IUI's and IVF. You are stronger than i am. I am so excited but in the back of my mind i keep telling myself it may not work. I feel like a am alone where i live. everyone has kids and its so hard not having someone who understands.

I am also new to this. I am 28 and my husband is 33. I have gone through 3 months of follistim with trying naturally. Well it's just not working. So now (month 4) I decided to try the IUI. I had my IUI today, so I am hoping this will work. I can't understand why we can't get pregnant. We have been trying since Feb 2009! I tried clomid for a few months, then it just stopped working. Then I was on Famara for months, and that just stopped working so I finally started the shots. Has anyone had success with their first IUI??

I would probably test everyday if I were you Snowie, but I'm really impatient! Stay positive, you are still very early.

I had my IUI on Thursday. After all the testing I have been through, I thought the IUI would be painless, but I was surprised that it was little uncomfortable. I had one good follicle (around 20mm), but I was excited to see that there was a second on the other side that was 15.5mm, is that big enough to ovulate? The sono tech said it might be big enough. I go back on Thursday for a progesterone check. I started a progesterone supplement yesterday. My boobs are already sore, not sure if that is from the ovidrel shot or what. Is there anyone else currently in their 2ww along with me?

I do my Ovidrel shot tonight, I hope it isn't much different from the Follistim shot. They are doing the IUI tomorrow because they think I may ovulate on my own either today or tomorrow. Wish me luck!

This is my first post ever. I'm 30, my husband is 31, and we have unexplained infertility. We got pregnant on our 2nd month of trying and had a misscarriage at 7 weeks, that was over a year ago, and haven't had any success since. This is my first round of injectible medicine with an IUI. I have done 5 rounds of clomid in the past. I'm on CD9 and I've had 6 shots thus far, I go for my second ultrasound tomorrow. I'm nervous, hoping everything is progressing as it should, but I don't know where I should be at this point in my cycle. Anyone else in the same boat or have any advice?
