Jackbrat, how was the egg retrieval process, did it hurt? I have a good pain tolerance, but I'm a bit scared. Any advise. This will be my first IVF and I'm about to start my meds on 09/23 and egg retrieval on week of 10/04. Really nervous.

It is not easy to cope. I found it so stressful after the retrieval waiting to see how many eggs fertilized and then making sure they made it through to the transfer. I just went through my first IVF cycle and my transfer was on Wednesday. Now the waiting game until my pregnancy test which is on 4/27. Just stay positive, rest, relax and watch TV or read a book
Good Luck!

Hi everyone,
I am so excited I found this site! I am 34 years old, and my husband would like a child of his own. I have 3 children from a previous marriage(started young) and had my tubes tied. When we went in to have a reversal, my age was fighting with me... So here we are, just getting through this emotional journey.... I just finished my retreival yesterday and have been on bedrest until this afternoon, stillhaving some cramps... They only removed 3 or 4 eggs. I guess thescary part is the waiting game, I am very fertile so they said 2 out of the 4 should work...'
How do you cope wit the waiting game....
