Yes, received some very good news today. My numbers are up to 2353 and I am done with blood work for now. Have my first ultrasound tomorrow and then another ultrasound and heartbeat in two weeks. Staying focused and positive right now...

Sounds like it's going very good for you, Fen! Yay! But I can totally understand you not wanting to get it set in your mind yet. I'll be anxiously awaiting a report from you on Monday!
And thanks for your info on how long you were on Gonal F. You know that feeling on a roller coaster when you're at the very top when it pauses just for a mili-second before plunging down? Whether it's a good or bad ride, it's all about to be over with! That's my feeling right about now!
BABY DUST, BABY DUST to everyone!

My beta today was 225, not quite doubled and of course I freaked out because I thought I was supposed to double. The nurse said there is nothing to worry about right now and I go back Monday for my next beta.
Oldmom, I know that I was on the Gonal pen for probably 2 weeks before my retrieval, so I am not sure that it is a long period of time, I think that may be standard. Of course everyone is on different medication and different doses and their bodies respond differently. They never had to change my medicine, I know it just felt like I was injecting myself forever. I think it sounds normal, but I do not pretend to be knowledgable in any of this.
Thank you all for the good wishes, I am getting so paranoid and not even sure I should be... baby dust to all...

Thanks to both of you! Hopefully today's beta will be way higher for you, Fen!! I'm so excited for you!
My donors E2 level was very low, a 10, so RE is starting her today on Gonal-F. They are telling me ER will most likely be May 10th or 11th but does that seem a liitle long? I guess it could always change. Her first sono will be Monday, the 3rd. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled for some reason and that she responds well with as much as this is costing; insurance doesn't pay a dime.

Fensox, Congrats on your BFP!! Your first beta number is really strong so that's great. (If you're curious & like to compare with other betas, check out www.betabase.info) I'm thrilled for you and hope things continue to go really well for you. Keep us posted and enjoy the moment....your pregnant!
Oldmom...your lining sounds really good. Good luck to you on the rest of your cycle.

Well, that sounds good to me, even though I've never gotten as far as you are. From what I've read, anything over 5 is positive, now as long as it keeps going up is great! But I totally understand about not letting yourself get too excited yet!!
Currently, my lining is 9.1, have no cysts, taking Lupron shots and the estrace and just basically waiting on my donor to start stims. She supposedly was getting bloodwork done today to check her estrogen level 'cause she didn't start AF from going off bcps. They are having her start stims this Saturday if her level is below 50. She apparently had a very thin lining of 4 at the beginning so she might not have a period. So.....I'm close but still worried about how she will respond to stims.
Let me know how your next beta goes....tomorrow, right? Baby dust to you!

oldmom, thank you for asking. Today was my first beta test. I got the BFP and my first level was 128 - which means nothing to me. The nurse sounded positive. I go back Thursday and then probably Monday again and they are looking at doing an ultrasound towards the end of next week. I am so happy and excited - yet in my head I can't help but be worried and scared because I do not know what any of this means. I always thought you have a blood test and you are pregnant or not and that is it. I guess I was naive.

Wow, what a process! I am new to the forums and really wish I knew about it sooner. I am 35 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year and a half. It has been determined that we have a male factor and everything seems to be ok with me.
I had my egg retrieval on Sunday. They retrieved 11 eggs and only 3 of them were fertilized. I have heard mixed things about if that is good or not. Wednesday we went in for the embryo transfer. They transferred 2 embryos. I am excited, scared, nervous, so many emotions through out this whole process. I have been trying to remain relaxed and calm. Resting and laying low.
I have felt some cramping and start to get nervous - is that good bad, is it just left over from my retrieval on Sunday. Is it the embryos implanting. Advice, suggestions on how to get through these next few weeks while I wait? Any success stories? I feel like the 30% success rate is stuck in my head and while I want to be excited, I am also afraid to be devastated.
Looking for some support and guidance. Thank you!
