I realized this post was a long time ago, but Anna I was wondering if there is an update on how you did with the glumetza? I was recently diagnosed with PCOS for thin women too and I've never had any signs like irregularity, etc. The only way he knew was a cancelled IVF cycle because I made about 32 follicles and had an estradiol of 6000 7 days in to stims. We were doing IVF for male factor so this was a surprise to everyone. He gave me Glumetza to try for a couple months. I did it for 5 weeks and then switched to metformin on Saturday due to manufacturing of Glumetza. They have both done a terrible number on my stomach, especially the metformin since it's new to me. I was curious if you had the same troubles and how things worked out for you. Thanks.

Wow, I didn't know there was an actual difference between us women with PCOS, thin or heavy. We all may have different symptoms, but it has always been referred to as PCOS.

I started out being a "thin cyster", weight gain and the toughness to take it off was a symtom for me.Along with a few others which drive me crazy!!!

How much do you know about pcos?

It seems to me that your dr. is taking the normal steps towards helping you ttc. First try on your own, then clomid and if that doesn't work other types of meds. It's a process to find what will be your special combo that works for you.

If you have any questions about pcos, I would be happy to help. It can be a confusing and annoying condition, but not unmanagable.

Just wondering if anyone out there has beed given a diagnosis of thin woman PCOS. I am 30 yrs old have had 5 IUI with clomid 1st with chemical pregnancy, 1 IVF 10 eggs only 4 mature enough to fertilize two went for ET, other two did not make it to blast. I've had 3 R.E. all who have said a med change would produce better egg chance of conception. The 4th R.E. diagnosed me with thin woman PCOS lots of small follicles, inversed LH/FSH ration and started me on glumetza and said to TTC for 3 months if no success then letrazole. I'm hoping someone else out there may have more info, similar diagnosis, or if anyone has had good outcomes with this therapy anything...
