I too am 44 and trying IVF for the first time. The clinic I go to doesn't normally accept women over 43, but my results have all been good so far, so we're going for it.Are you still in wait-n-see mode? We did our egg retrieval on 9/24, our 6 mos. wedding anniversary. Then we implanted on day 5, which was 9/29, my husband's 44th birthday. Doc put in 4 because they seemed to be developing slowly. Then while we were there, two of the four looked like they were getting to blast stage. Now we are in wait-n-see mode and I have been a nervous wreck. Does anyone have any advice on how not to be nervous? Breathing techniques? I have got to stop worrying and be able to accept whatever the outcome is. We have spent over $11k so far, all out of pocket, as our insurance doesn't cover IVF. Not sure if we could afford to do this again financially or emotionally.Very curious to hear success stories from older IVF moms!

RE: Egg freezing

I am 40 and in the process of freezing my eggs. Has anyone else done this and eventually be successful in fertilizing them at my age or older? How long can eggs stay frozen and maintain their fertility?
